2018’s Hottest New Cars: The Top 4 You Should Know About

2018's New Cars

Each year, a handful of new cars rise to the front of the pack, generating a hype that gets around. Cars that spark conversation and make internet forums go wild. We’re not talking about ultra-luxurious concept cars; we’re talking about the latest models within reach to the average American.

Here are 4 of the new 2018 vehicles that we think you should know about.

  1. Kia Stinger GT

The Stinger, Kia’s luxury sedan, debuted at the Detroit Auto Show earlier this year and is taking the brand to a whole new level. It has two options: the base model and the GT. The car with the real hype this year is the GT. Though a price range of $31,900 – $38,350 may seem high for a Kia, this isn’t the kind of Kia you’re thinking of. With a 365 HP twin-turbo engine and a surprisingly luxurious interior, it’s performance and value and are making people think twice about what “Kia” means to them. Check out a full review, here.

  1. Lexus LS

Lexus has come a long way since its brand debut in 1989. The completely redesigned Lexus LS brings buyers some extra-special features. Not only is the interior stunningly beautiful and ultra-comfortable, the exterior is also especially sleek and somewhat irresistible to look at. It is available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive formats, and word on the street is that a hybrid version will be joining the lineup soon as well. To top it off, the new LS is powered with a twin-turbo charged 3.5L V6 engine, allowing it to generate 414 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque that’ll make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, sending tingles down into your toes.

  1. Toyota CH-R (new crossover)

The highly anticipated 2017 Toyota CH-R is an all-new compact SUV with a unique design. The power isn’t all that impressive, however it is available in 3 different engine options: A 2-L turbo-charged 4Cyl; a 0-L 4Cyl; and a 2-L hybrid. While the initial ratings on this all-new model aren’t amazing, it still boasts some great qualities. Priced starting at just $23,460, it is affordable and the safety rating is great (no surprise there, Toyota). It handles well and it is even offered in a color-block version. We’re excited to see how Toyota develops and improves this model in the coming years.

  1. Range Rover Velar

The introduction of the Range Rover Velar this year is continuing to expand the Land Rover brand.  It has great off-road capabilities and is offered in 3 power terrains including a 4Cyl Diesel and a powerful supercharged V6 turbo. The car has the expected Range-Rover luxury look and feel, and has an ultra-smooth and comfortable drive. This model is definitely worth a consideration if you’re looking for a luxury compact SUV.
