I have been using your products for a while, especially (#0116) as its easy to store and i use it very quickly, but i was thinking of buying a 1 gallon can (#0101) as it is a bit more economic and time/fuel saving. My question is, how long will the solution inside the 1 gallon can stay "good" for if stored tight, in a weather free, rain/dirt free shelf inside a garage? another side question, will the shaking of the container holding the solution help prolong its shelf life unopened/opened? thanks in advance.

Formal shelf-life on a sealed can of Berryman B-12 Chemtool Fuel System Cleaner (part #0101) is at least two years. Practically speaking, though, sealed cans can be expected to maintain maximum efficacy for five years or more. However, once the product is opened, there are several factors that can affect its integrity, including temperature, humidity, the number of times it’s opened, and how long it’s exposed to the atmosphere each time. For instance, the product can be expected to maintain maximum effectiveness longer in cool, dry regions like the northern Great Plains more so than in warm, humid areas like the Gulf coast. All that said, 0101 should still last 1-2 years with reasonable care. As for shaking the product once it has been opened, that is only advisable immediately before use in the event that condensation has formed on the inside of the container.
