If the problem stems from gum, sludge, varnish, and other fuel-related deposits, we would recommend running our B-12 Chemtool Total Fuel System Clean-Up (part #2616) at 1 oz/gal. You might even consider running it through twice if the problem is severe. That will help remove any water from the gas tank as well as clean the fuel pump, the fuel lines, the injectors, and the intake valves.
After that, you should apply our Professional 3-Step Fuel Maintenance Kit (part #2630). The kit includes an air-intake and throttle body cleaner (aerosol) and a combustion chamber cleaner (liquid) for use by way of manifold vacuum induction (usually through the PCV valve or brake booster). These products in combination will clean the throttle and butterfly, air intake manifold, intake valves, pistons, and combustion chambers.
