If that access point is before the MAF sensor, you run the risk of damaging the sensor as they are typically quite delicate. If you cannot readily get to the Throttle Boby, the next most ideal solution would be to find a vacuum hose that runs to the TB or front of the intake manifold and see if you can tap into that. Usually the PCV valve is a solid choice, too...if your vehicle is equipped with one. Hope that helps.
