Hello, shortly after adding b-12 fuel cleaner to full tank on my 2010 ford escape 6cyl, my check engine light came on with code P0430 related to Catalyst system efficiency below threshold. Can adding the cleaner impact that? And will it clear up eventually?

While uncommon, that does happen from time to time when the additive does enough cleaning in a short period of time that it confuses the ECU/ECM (“the computer”). Specifically, when there is a lot of buildup in the system and it starts breaking up and moving downstream, the computer has difficulty reconciling the sudden changes reported by various sensors. This problem generally resolves itself in short order, maybe another 20-50 miles.
