i drive a 2001 suburban 4x4 no issues new fuel pump 4 months ago. it had just a hair over half tank 32 gallon tank. i went into walmart bought some berryman fuel system cleaner poured the entire 15 oz bottle into my tank. got in truck to start it. it will start then wont idle and die now.. if i gave it a lil throttle it would. so i 2 footed it to the gas station by the time i got there it would idle on its own but with no load like the a/c on. topped off my tank with 12 gallons of fuel and now it runs fine? did the berrymans just make the fuel too lean?

With properly-functioning mass air flow and O2 sensors, the air/fuel mixture should immediately auto-adjust. Because 0116 is comprised of 100% strong solvent, what is more likely is that it dislodged some form of deposit and created a temporary blockage somewhere--in the fuel pick-up, fuel filter, fuel injector(s), etc. It's possible the action of topping off helped clear it or that could just just be coincidence. Either way, we're glad to hear the Suburban is running well again.
