Thanks in advance for any responses. I have been searching the web and hopefully you guys can help. I have an old scooter that it 20 years old and has been sitting in my garage all that time. The fuel tap has been turned off. I want to get it back on the raod - but it seams that the petrol (unleaded) has crystalised and the fuel tap is siezed up as a result.
I have read that Berrymans B12 is just the answer - but how do i use it? Do I have to strip tke tank and tap etc or do I add it to some petrol and fill the tank up and let the additive get to the work ?- or do I pour it into the tank neat?
Advise please . Thank you.

If the fuel tap is stuck due to gum, varnish, or other fuel residue, then yes, B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment (part #0116) should do the job. Without seeing your actual setup, it’s difficult to say exactly how you should proceed.
Generally speaking, though, I would recommend removing all the old gasoline from the tank and fuel lines that you could. Add enough B-12 Chemtool to ensure thorough contact between the chemical and the tap. You’ll probably also want to “wash” the inside of the tank and any fuel lines that you can get to with B-12 Chemtool to make sure you dissolve all the fuel residue. Be careful not to get B-12 Chemtool on any painted/coated surfaces.
Once you’ve cleaned everything, add with 1 oz/gal of B-12 Chemtool and fill up with fresh fuel (if this is an off-road application, you can safely double the concentration.) If the scooter is running rough after consuming a full tank of gas, you might need to use a detergent-based fuel additive. If this is the case, consider B-12 Chemtool Total Fuel System Clean-Up (part #2616) or Super Concentrated Valve & Injector Cleaner (part #3012). Good luck!
