Please know that we have not introduced any new versions of our brake cleaner in several years - either in our chlorinated or non-chlorinated product formulations, except as mandated by changing VOC regulations in California & New Jersey. The current product offerings are the same high quality products that our customers have historically come to expect. We did, however, recently recognize an unpleasant odor in our chlorinated brake cleaner. We have traced this to one of the chemicals in our formulation, which occasionally can put off a different, less appealing odor. The odor you most likely refer to can be traced to a batch of that chemical which was utilized over a brief window of time this past winter. Be assured that any change in the odor of the product is temporary in nature and not part of a formulation change. In addition, please know that we have already taken corrective actions to eliminate that odor from future production batches. Thank you for being such a loyal customer.
