I am using Chem-Dip (#0905) to clean parts of a very old lathe I am reassembling. One of the parts has brass oilite bushings pressed inside of it. Will the Chem-Dip damage the oilite bushings or should I press them out prior to soaking it in the Chem-Dip? I am leaving the parts in for an extended amount of time. Thank you.

Berryman PROFESSIONAL CHEM-DIP CARBURETOR PARTS CLEANER (part #0905) is compatible with metal composition of the bushings, but it’s probably wise to press the bushings out in order to avoid the prospect of CHEM-DIP supplanting the lubricant.
