Under normal operating conditions, the internal components of catalytic converters are “self-cleaning.” If you remove the catalytic converter from your vehicle for cleaning, you’ll likely want to use something volatile so you’re not leaving behind additional deposits. Chem-Dip Carburetor and Parts Cleaner (part #0996) does not fit the bill in that regard.
