Do you need to remove the plastic parts and O rings when putting the Carburetor in the dip?

That depends. We make two different varieties of Chem-Dip, our professional version in 5-gal buckets (part #0905) and our consumer version in 1-gal paint-style cans (part #0996). #0905 is generally too aggressive for use with rubber, plastic, and painted components. #0996 is safer on rubber and plastic parts but can soften paint if extended soak times are employed.
