A friend suggested your products may help. I have a chrome motorcycle exhaust which has moderate (.005" to .010") carbon buildup on its chrome surface. Exhaust leaks near the cylinder head caused this buildup. I'm afraid scraping or using chrome cleaner may abrade the chrome.

The best Berryman non-dip product to tackle baked-on carbon is our B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner (part #0116), which can be poured onto a soft rag/towel and used to gently clean the chrome. We recommend using gloves and only doing this when the exhaust system is cool.
