My 5 gallon can has started to leak, very slight, but a strong odor in the shop. I don't use it much, but want to keep it around for those occasions. Is a special can required for storage?
Also, does the sealant need to be replenished, if so, what to use?

Steel is the only suitable material for storage. If you can find a 5-gallon, open-head steel bucket with a lid that includes a gasket, that should work for quite a while. Please be sure to store the product on wood, cardboard, or plastic in order to avoid compromising the container. As for the “sealant,” if you’re referring to the chemical seal, i.e. the top layer, it should comprise at least a third of the total liquid volume. If it is less than that, you might be better suited purchasing a new can of product.
