I accidentally tipped over the can of the old formula chem dip (i think it's the professional version) carb cleaner in my yard spilling some. I can still smell it from 10 feet or more away even after trying the rubbing alcohol suggestion from your website. Do you have any other tips? If not, how long can I expect the smell to last? Help, it smells terrible!

Unfortunately, there is no easy solution for this. This version of Chem-Dip will rapidly absorb into soil and very slowly release over an extended period of time. There are only a few options for dealing with such a spill.
If you can dig the soil out, that is your best bet. Then that can either be treated with heat and/or ventilation or be disposed of. If the amount of soil is not too great and if the makeup of the soil is such that you can spread it out, you might consider scattering it on a tarp in the yard and letting it “cook” off in the sun or putting it in your garage (only with the door garage open!) and treating it with a space heater and fans.
If you cannot dig the dirt out, the smell will likely persist for quite some time, especially as we enter fall. Depending on your part of the country, it is possible that the odor could be detectable for a year, maybe even longer.
