can the basic 0116 Berryman B12 product be used for direct injection into the fuel rail, for cleaning the injectors?

Berryman B-12 Chemtool Fuel System Cleaner (part #0116) is not intended for use as a through-the-rail injector cleaner. Instead, B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner (part #s 1120 & 1126) is ideal for such an application and will thoroughly clean the fuel injectors, intake valves, and combustion chambers.
