A transmission guy on my Lexus site suggested that since my 94 Lexus has low mileage only 45000 miles, older people had it, didnt drive much, may have developed varnish in my automatic transmission causing shift solenoid problems he suggested 4 to 6 oz of Chemtool B12 and drive it for about a week or for a 100 miles and then drain and fill the transmission it has A plug that will drain transmission fluid and then put in lubeguard with the new transmission fluid , have u heard of that working? what do you think?

Yes, Berryman B-12 Chemtool Fuel Injector Cleaner (part #0116) can be used to in that manner. However, the product is comprised of low-boiling solvents, so they will not stick around for a full 100 miles of even light driving. We recommend adding 1½-2 fl oz of 0116 per quart of ATF capacity to your COLD transmission fluid. If your ATF capacity is 5 quarts, we recommend using 7½-10 fl oz but not overfilling the unit. If it’s at the top of the dipstick, drain a little out first.
Once you’ve added the B-12 to the COLD fluid, we recommend gingerly driving in reverse and in all forward gears for 10-15 minutes. You can check the fluid by putting before and after drops on a few different kinds of paper—computer paper, newsprint, etc.—and looking for color changes. You can also do multiple treatments before changing the fluid if it doesn’t look too bad after each treatment.
