Hi, I have a merc 2bbl carb that needs rebuilding. It appears that this marine carb has a thick black epoxy coating. I was wanting to know if your chem dip cleaner is safe to use on this application. Please advise me if you have a product that is safer.

Berryman Chem-Dip Carburetor Parts Cleaner (part #0996) will be safe for the epoxy coating. Just be cautious soaking aluminum, zinc, and pot metal carbs for longer than 4 hours.
