I've seen a non-Berryman product on the shelf in packaging similar to your B-12 Chemtool Part #0116 that claims to work in a number of different applications that yours doesn't. Yours had a lower price at the store where I shop. For cleaning my injectors, whats the difference?

B-12 Chemtool is 100% solvent cleaner utilizing High Energy Solvent Technology (H.E.S.T.) that thoroughly cleans injectors as the fuel is passed through the injector tip, without kerosene and mineral spirits fillers. The solvents in B-12 are more powerful that gas alone, including some that have clean levels of additives. B-12 is designed as a clean- up additive to enhance the cleaning potential of the fuel. There are formulas in the market that have added ingredients such as neutral oil or mineral oil that provide some top-end lubrication but that do not add to the cleaning process (often identified by some smoking at the exhaust as the oil is being burned off). Some mischaracterize this smoke as evidence of cleaning out the combustion area. Berryman produces a multi-application product under Part #0316 B-12 Motor Tune-UP for Gas and Diesel. The addition of the oil and detergents to the H.E.S.T. chemistry provides for a broader spectrum of uses but tones down the superior cleaning power of B-12 for certain cleaning applications such as in the crankcase and in diesel fuel systems. #0116 is a cost-effective way to take care of your specific application. Use #0316 where you don't need 100% solvent cleaners.
