I just dumped 96 oz of Chem-Dip parts cleaner in my 75 gal RV tank. The fuel had been sitting in the tank for 3 yrs.A mechanic told me it would cleanup the old fuel and everything from the tank to the injectors. I see you have a B-12 product, what is the difference between the 2 products? and should I be worried?

Do not attempt to start the RV.
Berryman CHEM-DIP CARBURETOR & PARTS CLEANER (part #0996) is water-based and will NOT mix with gasoline. The tank will first need to be drained and cleaned prior to refilling with fresh gasoline. A cleaner like the B-12 CHEMTOOL FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER (PART #0116) is suitable. This product is also available in 1-gallon cans as part #0101. Alternatively, you could rinse with warm water and then with acetone. Acetone is commonly available from paint and hardware stores. If you can blow out the tank with compressed air between rinses, that will help.
