I am working with Professional Chem-Dip that is partially used. I submerged an entire engine head in the solution. After soaking, there was a significant dividing line (stratification) where the upper half of the part showed significant cleaning and the lower half showed little or no cleaning. Is this stratification of the active solution typical as the solution ages?

Berryman Professional Chem-Dip Carburetor & Parts Cleaner (part #0905) is a biphasic product with an active solvent layer and a water-based layer that prevents corrosion and limits evaporation. Parts that cannot be cleaned entirely in the active phase of the product will need to be turned over and re-submerged.
