In cleaning a very nasty plastic gas tank, can I use a stronger ratio of gas and B-12 Chemtool Fuel System Cleaner (#0116) or do I need to go by the directions on the container ? I was planning on letting it soak 24 hours and dumping it out.

If you’re going to be dumping it out, then you can use as high a fraction of B-12 Chemtool Fuel Treatment (part #0116) as you want, including straight. If you pour it directly into the tank, though, you should not need to soak it overnight. Instead, try adding it straight, swirling it around occasionally, and then draining it after 10-15 minutes. Repeat a couple times to make sure all the gum/varnish/trash has been removed.
