What product is best to clean the sludge and grime out of a plastic fuel tank ? I was planning on letting it soak a while before emptying it out. How long can I let it soak and not hurt the plastic ?

It depends on the type of plastic. A pretty good rule of thumb is if something can stand up to constant contact with gasoline, then it can probably stand up to temporary exposure to B-12 Chemtool. There likely isn’t much point in soaking the tank for more than 10-15 minutes. Try that time frame, occasionally swirling the chemical, empty the tank out, and repeat if necessary.
