Normally, “too much” of the aerosol only results in choking out the engine and causing it to stall. However, it’s possible “too much of a good thing” can result if excess buildup was released into the carburetor and is causing some blockage.
At this point, you can try one a few things. You can start the car, get on the gas to about 2k RPMs or so, and just keep spraying the aerosol in short bursts for at least 30 seconds to a minute and see if the idle doesn’t smooth out. Alternatively, with the engine warm you can spray the carb until it stalls, let the B-12 soak in for a bit—something like 15-30 minutes—and restart the engine. You can combine methods, too—spray at high RPMs for a bit, then induce stalling, wait for the hot soak, and recheck the idle.
