I ordered carburetor cleaner but was given fuel injector cleaner. Can the fuel injector cleaner be used for cleaning a carburetor?

Yes! The same types chemistries are used for both applications. If something can clean fuel injectors, for instance, then it can also clean carburetors and vice versa.
