5 Car Cleaning Hacks for the Springtime

 

1. A Bug’s Wipe

This is the insect movie they didn’t make.

It’s a story of the insect massacre in your car’s grill which, in addition to being unsightly, can cause paint damage if not properly removed. A household cleaning hack is to grab your dryer sheets and a bucket of warm water. Make sure the car is wet and wipe away.

2. It’s a Bird, It’s a Stain

How often do you look up?

Don’t wait for someone to notice stains on the ceiling of your car.

All you need is a microfiber cloth or upholstery cleaner that works with your ceiling’s materials, and water and vinegar for grease stain removal. Apply your cleaner and rub it in with the cloth before using the same cloth in a 3:1 water/vinegar mix to wipe the interior.

3. Like a Rag in the Headlights

This little headlight o’ mine, somebody help it shine.

Do you have whitening toothpaste, an old toothbrush, and a rag?

Then there is no reason your headlights can’t shine like springtime sunshine and sundresses.

All it takes is a little toothpaste, patience, and elbow grease for those lights to shine bright.

4. Cup, Don’t Cake

Most cars become hot boxes in the sunny weather.

All it takes is boiled cola in a paper cup, a piece of candy or two, lint, more lint, and a few pennies to make a cup holder soup.

Save yourself the sticky cleanup and use the cupcake cupholder life hack. Place cupcake liners in your cupholders, and if you ever accidently make cupholder gumbo, simply dispose the liner.

5. Get Up in There!
